San Clemente was among the first master planned communities built from totally open land in the United States. The city is known for its ocean, hill, and mountain views, a pleasant climate and its Spanish Colonial style architecture. The city is also home to "La Casa Pacifica" - Richard Nixon's vacation home dubbed the "Western White House".
The area is a surfer's dream with swells year-round. Trestles and San Onofre are just two of the prime spots nearby. San Clemente truly is a "Spanish Village by the Sea".
