San Juan Capistrano was created around Mission San Juan Capistrano, a Spanish mission in colonial Las Californias. Many of the buildings in the area resemble Spanish architecture. The city is home to the widest variety of homes in Orange County, including those built prior to 1900, in its central district (some being adobes from the 18th century).
With its rich history, San Juan Capistrano boast many historical sites, including the chapel still standing 200 years later from the 7th of 21 missions statewide. The only California mission located in Orange County. The birthplace of Orange County is full of history and unique homes for sale.
