Welcome To Dana Point

Dana Point enjoys a mild climate (average temperatures in the 70’s) and is located approximately half way between San Diego and Los Angeles. It includes rolling hills and nearly seven miles of coastal bluffs along the Pacific Ocean, including the Headlands overlooking Dana Point Harbor, which is one of Orange County’s most significant landmarks. The harbor, considered the gateway to the 62-acre Doheny State Park and complete with over 50 specialty shops and restaurants, provides slips and mooring for over 2,500 boats. The park is one of California’s most popular beach facilities offering picnicking, camping, swimming, biking, surfing, tide pool exploration and more. In addition to water sports and fishing, the harbor’s many other recreational activities, such as biking and walking, attract thousands of visitors to the area each year.

Seemingly endless dining options and the 18-hole golf course, which was designed by Robert Trent Jones and skirts the sea, are enjoyed by Dana Point’s approximately 34,000 residents. The city also recently embarked on a $16 million rejuvenation project to upgrade the historic Lantern Village District with features such as coastal landscaping, outdoor seating, and wider walkways.

Single-family homes in the heart of town enjoy ocean views, and prices start around $800,000. Further inland, bungalow prices start around $500,000.
